- Take a fist sized chunk of rolled fondant and add black, brown and grey food coloring to it in several different spots with toothpicks. Break into smaller rocks or various sizes.
Slowly pull the fondant out mixing the colors into it taking care to leave streaks of black and grey in the finished ball.Twist the fondant as well to create interesting patterns of color.
Take a little more white fondant and add it to the color streaked fondant. MixContinue pulling the fondant out until the finished product looks like a veined rock.
Break color veined fondant ball into smaller rocks of various sizes.Set aside to dry completely.
- Knead white fondant for several minutes to make it pliable and smooth.
- Wear plastic gloves when pulling the fondant. Food coloring can stain the skin.
