Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

One does not usually think of ice cream cones in the frigid winter months but there is no limit on when kids want these chilly treats. So why don't you make cupcakes in the shape of ice cream cones with an obscene amount of vanilla icing swirling to create your ice cream? This is an extremely easy process and kids will love preparing these in the microwave and then decorating them with sprinkles and chocolate. You don't have to make these in shades of vanilla, although the cupcakes look very authentic;you can make them chocolate, strawberry, lemon or mint depending on your favorite flavor profile.

These cupcakes are usually prepared in flat bottom cones but if you have the right type of pan you can make tapered waffle style cones. The trick is baking them upright and presenting the finished cone upright as well. Try these whimsical creations at your next children's party or baby shower!
