Snow is Falling on the Ground and on Cakes

I love to make cakes that are completely covered by gum paste flowers. These cakes breathe life, sing of summer breezes and are profuse with color. this is a preference and a passion. I live in a country that is known for snow and ice though;in the northern part of this frosty country! I had to learn to love cakes that reflected this theme and appreciate the clean lines and subtle hues of winter influenced cakes. After creating many of these frosty confections I found this enthusiasm was not an effort anymore.

Winter cakes are lovely, breathtaking and joyful. They can highlight silvery lacy snowflakes, colorful piles of fondant wrapped presents or adorable molded penguins on pulled sugar ice flows. The flavors of these winter cakes can be spicy and warm made from pumpkin, white chocolate, traditional fruitcake and cool cranberry. You can even try your hand at an old fashioned gingerbread house to practice your piping and design skills this winter.it is important to learn to love each theme cake decorating can represent even if one is your true passion.
